This is an all black plastic camera and was a premium promotion for the Pepsodent Toothpaste Co.; whereas you would send in to the company an empty Pepsodent toothpaste box along with fifteen cents ($.15) to receive the camera back by mail. Unilever PLC, founded 1929, bought the Pepsodent Co. in 1942 and still owns them but doesn’t distribute the product in the US or Canada as they sold the rights to the brand name to Church & Dwight of Ewing, NJ, USA; founded in 1847. They control the North American market. It took 28mm x 40mm size pictures on No. 828 roll film; measures about 3 inches in size and has a glass lens and one-click shutter; optical viewfinder. It was made by the American Advertising & Research Corp., Chicago, IL, USA. It’s considered common despite its age and is a great collectible. ©2024 Ken Riley
