I have 3 old reels of film that were pulled from the historic W. 7th St. Theater in Ft.Worth before they tore it down. Don't know what's on them or what they may be worth? Any advice or contacts would be helpful.

Impossible to offer information without information. Value will depend on the title, completeness, condition, age, whether silent or sound, color or black & white, type of film stock, rarity, etc. How long is a piece of string? Perhaps you can make contact with a local projectionist who might be able to determine what you have. If the film is in projectable condition you could find that out easily. If it's on nitrate stock, it's dangerous to keep, especially if there are visible signs of deterioration. I would have someone with knowledge of film take a look at it. In no case should you allow it to be destroyed if it's Nitrate until it's been evaluated by a qualified film archivist/preservationist. So many early films have been lost that even fragments are significant. From what you describe, chances are it's not that old, but until you know, it could be anything.

Hey Levantique, you seem to be knowledgeable on films- what lab do you use for developing your 8mm film?
