Hi, My father recently passed away, and I ended up inheriting two of his old cameras. Unfortunately, I know next to nothing about cameras, so I'm not sure what they are, how old they are, and whether they're at all valuable. I was hoping someone on this board may be able to help me, or point me towards someone who could? I'm located in Bedfordshire in the UK if it helps people point me towards a local shop... The first is a Zeiss Ikon according to the case, with a Compur Rapid lens (I’ve no idea how to tell what else there is about the lens). That one’s in pretty much immaculate condition – some light use but no damage that I can see. The lens moves, the shutter operates and the wind on mechanism seems to work. The other says it’s a Ruvikon 120 on the back, with Ruvikon No. 2973 on the top. That says it has a Lustre Rapid lens. A bit more wear on that one, but again it’s fully functional – even seems to have some sort of timer function on the shutter. Both are in leather cases that they screw into. The Ruvikon’s case is good, the Zeiss’ case the top section has come away from – I have the piece, it’s the stitching that’s gone. The leather bellows (if that's the right word?) behind each lens appears to be complete, and the leather is still flexible so it's not in danger of cracking. I have some pictures of each camera: s1289.photobucket.com/user/vfrhawk/library/Dads%20old%20camerasHope to hear from someone. Many thanks Graham
