Hi all,
I inherited a brand new with tags Brownie 8 A15 projector over the weekend. It had never been used (by my wife's uncle).
I was very excited to get it...got it home...open it up...and for some reason the project/off/reverse dial will not turn to save my life. It's almost as if it was installed with loc-tite.
Am I missing something? I tried to google search the problem...and there were 2 others that had the same issue. It's a knob...it should turn left or right.
Anyone familiar with the cause of this? Any way to get it to turn?
Thank you in advance for any help with this. I've got a ton of old 8mm family videos that I would love to see...
John

Did you ever get this fixed? If so, can you tell me me what “un-stuck” that switch/knob

This switch is has a small ball bearing underneath (inside the case), which moves into a slot which allows the switch to "Click" into place. It could be the grease around the moving parts of the switch has dries out causing the mechanical side to "Lock".
You could try removing the plastic knob and running a hair dryer over the switch to try and "melt the hardened grease"

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the plastic knob without breaking it?
