Hi, I have what I beleive is a 1926 Model A Kodascope Series K projector. It is in nearly mint condition and is packed in a beautiful Loops leather trunk. The motor and lamp work and it runs movies. There are about twenty films included with it. About half the films are commercially produced and half are home movies. Also included is the kit with extra lamps, oil and film splicer.
Is this worth anything? Thanks for any replies.
Dan

According to McKeown's Price Guide your Model A Kodascope Series K projector (16mm) has a book value of between $30-$50 for a projector in basic good operating condition. However, if indeed your projector is in mint condition you could push the values to double @ $60-$100.
The films and maintenance items would add value, but that depends on the films contents and conditions.
This projector is similar to the 1923 Kodascope but has condensers for use with Kodacolor film.

Hi Ken,
Thank you very much for your reply. Do you know if a replacement Friction Drive Wheel for the motor is available anywhere for this old Kodascope?
I would like to watch the films just to see what is on them.
Best regards,
Dan

Parts for these are not available without cannibalizing another projector, but if the wheel is just a little bit out of round, you might be able to turn it on a lathe. They often develop flat spots because users left them against the drive wheel of the projector. The speed of the projector is continuously variable, so any small difference in diameter can be compensated with the speed control. The series K was made for lenticular Kodacolor, which was introduced in August 1928. That will put at least a not-earlier-than date on it. The serial number might tell more. If this is the one listed on ebay now, it's a mistake to list the projector and films together. You are dealing with two different kinds of collectors, so you may get less for the outfit than if you sold them separately. It's always a bad idea to sell mixed lots on ebay.

I also have a Kodascope eight-33. The motor turns but the belt just slips and does not move the film through the projector. Any kind of help is greatly appreciated.

I have part of a Kodascope Model A that also had a whole heap of hand-painted glass slides with it though from what I can gather they don't necessarily go with it. has anyone got any idea what they could be or be worth?? They are all beautiful hand-drawn images of children's stories, couple have price tags of 50.20 on them? They are about 170mm x 45mm, though all up there are 5 different sizes
