I rescued a Selig's Standard 35mm movie camera from an east coast basement before a clean out crew came in to clean the place out. It is rough and in need of restoration.
I can not find very much info on the camera itself. However there is quite a bit of info on Selig, the maker Schustek , and the story about how they used the camera in early cinematography.
I would be grateful if anyone that reads this and has any information outside the historical story would share it with me. Information such as... are they common, how many were made, what is it worth, is it worth restoring etc.
I'll be glad to post some pics if anyone is interested.
Thanks!

I will probably be able to help you with information on your Selig 35mm motion picture camera, please send images of it, interior and exterior, to me at this e-mail address...
carrollfgray (at) gmail(dot com)
Obviously replace the "(at)" with a @ and the "(dot com)" with .com
There aren't many of these still in existence.
Best,
Carroll
